Olympic Torch Bearer Visit

The Olympics and Paralympics games maybe over, but you still have a chance to enjoy some aspects of the games once more! On Sunday, 4th April at 1:30pm, Olympic Torch Bearer Akber Dhanjee will be visiting the Temple and meet with members from 33rd Richmond. You will have a chance to meet him and ask any questions that you may have. You will also have a chance to view the torch close-up, with the torch manufacturer present to explain the manufacturing processes. Members are STRONGLY URGED to bring their friends to the Temple on that day to take part in the scout meeting, as well as to meet the torch bearer. If you have any questions please be sure to talk to your leaders. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you and your friends that day.

Group Event

Get Everyone Moving (G.E.M) Sports day on Apr 18, 2010 at King George Park in Richmond. We will Meet at Cambie Community Center ‘s Front entrance. This will start from 1:30- 3:30. We are there to have fun and also move around and fulfill some outdoor badge requirements. Please dress in activity polo shirt or logo wear and comfortable running gear. Also it is advisable to bring a bottle of water, energy bar, and a towel. We will be out the entire time so dress warmly and dress for the weather. Nitehike 2010 - Where in the world are we - Orienteering in the 21st Century When : Start- 6:15PM Saturday April 24,2010 End- 6:00AM Sunday Where : University Hill Secondary School 2896 Acadia Road, Vancouver Inside the Tennis Court Cost: $9.00 Bring: A little Backpack (enough to put everything listed below). Hiking Boots Rain and Wind Gear Bottle of Water or energy Drink Bring a Empty Thermo (One of the stations has HOT Chocolate!) Trail Mix or Snacks (chocolate) Flashlight Headlamp Toque Whistle Handwarmers/ Gloves. Camera. PMA (positive mental Attitude). Notes: If you are not attending the hike (which should apply to NO ONE, cause everyone is going) the meeting for April 25th,2010 is Cancelled for Scouts Section.
